In May, 2006 she completed her advanced composting certification. She holds several talks on Healthy Gardening, Integrated Pest Management and gives Home Composting workshops throughout the community each season. Marian Woodard is an avid composter and vermicomposter both at her townhome and community garden.  She received her Master Gardener certificate in 2011 and started a 3000 ft2 community garden that features both worms and multiple compost bins.  She was Navlet’s Gardener of the Year in 2014.  She is a frequent speaker on the gardening circuit, and loves getting people of all ages excited about how easy it is to help the Earth and increase the health and yield of soil and plants.

Lorraine Frey has been an avid composter for the last 25 years.  She provides ‘black gold’ for her ½ acre Walnut Creek property from her four active compost bins.
